NYSC clearance is done monthly in which an employers give worthy corp member that have served them for the previous month a clearance for their allowance and submitted to their zonal inspection/local government inspectors.
It is a special days usually between the first 10 days of the month, while some LGA with large number has separate days for each batch or stream. This activities is usually assisted with the corper liason officier (CLO).
What must be in a clearance letter
Clearance letter format is usually typed in the employer (school, company, organisation, etc.) Letterhead (coloured)
Clearance letter is a letter, meaning it must contain what a letter must contain. (an address, body of letter, and a conclusion)
Details of the corp member. this is likewise very important, if not most important
Below is a sample of a clearance, courtesy of our

Let us run through the case study of Batch C 2018 in Oyo State
"The Oyo State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Eniola Ambekemo, on Thursday, said no fewer than 33 outgoing 2018 batch C NYSC members out of 4,716 in the state had received extension of service letters.
Ambekemo, who made this disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ibadan, added that 25 of the outgoing members absconded from service.
She said their offences ranged from absenteeism to abscondment in their places of primary assignments.
“However, one of them, Adebanjo Diekolola, received state honours award for carrying out medical outreaches, market sensitisation on genotype, sinking of deep wells at Ogunrinde village, among others.
“We have Fabunmi Tobiloba and David Adeyemi, who received commendation certificates: we are proud of you for your various efforts at developing your host communities; well done for exhibiting a high sense of discipline and resilience,” she said.
She also urged them to balance their life experiences both at the university as well as that of their service year in order to face the challenges of life."

Some where commended, with hopes of moving on with life, while the ones trying to run several life together with the service year where punished. I know many will also escape but what is worth doing is worth doing well. Nigeria is our Nigeria will serve! Nigeria is u and i

The National Youth Service Corps has paid one million insurance cover to the family of Precious Owolabi, the Channels Television reporter and serving corps member, who was shot dead during a bloody protest by members of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) in Abuja in July. The scheme has also processed and paid the families of two corps members-Okanlawon Ibrahim and Ibisaki Amachree who died during the conduct of the 2019 general elections.
Amachree was killed during the February 23, 2019 presidential election in Rivers State while Okanlawon died in a boat mishap in Ondo while serving as an ad hoc work deployed by the Independent National Electoral Commission during the House of Assembly elections. The NYSC, had in a letter dated July 30th and sighted by our reporter, directed the insurance company engaged by the federal government on behalf of the scheme to process one million insurance benefit to the next of kin of the late Owolabi.
The insurance benefit was paid to Beracah Owolabi, the next of kin to the late Owolabi, by the insurance company on behalf of the NYSC. Beracah confirmed the payment of the amount to our reporter through telephone in Abuja. She said: “Yes they have made the payment to us. The payment was done in August.”
However, a top source at the NYSC told our reporter that the Independent National Electoral Commission was yet to pay Okanlawon and Amichree their insurance benefits as stipulated in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) the scheme had with INEC. The source explained that INEC was supposed to provide a temporary insurance cover for corps members who served as ad hoc staff during elections. When our reporter contacted the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, INEC, Festus Okoye, last week Sunday to find out if the commission have processed any insurance benefit for the slain corps members, he promised to get back to the reporter on Tuesday.
Also, the Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Rotimi Oyekanmi, in a Whatsapp message, only said: “The commission has an insurance package for the corps members serving as Ad-Hoc staff during elections and we have a history of responding compassionately when corps members or any ad-Hoc staff is injured or killed. Also, INEC sent a delegation led by Mr Patrick Uzoka, an Electoral Officer to condole with the family of Mrs Ibisaki Amachree who lost her life in Rivers State during the February 23 Presidential Election.”
This post will address what you should know between Revalidation and Remobilisation in NYSC. That is the difference between NYSC Revalidation and Remobilisation.
Before going into the topic, if you are a Corp member and you are yet to create a topic on this online house and lodge. You are doing other's a de-services. There is no one that is an highland of knowledge that is why we said you should share your stories and experiences here. So that some else can learn from them.
Let us go right into it when and how do I carry out NYSC Revalidation or Remobilization. Let us first define, what they are;
Revalidation like the name goes, it is confirming an exciting data, to acknowledge your continuous interest. While Remobilisation mean you are starting afresh, no exciting information, either it was removed for mispractice or left staled.
You will understand what I am saying in a moment as we relate it to what NYSC mean by those terms
What does NYSC mean by Revalidation and Remobilisation and which one fit me
Who Need the NYSC Revalidation? Revalidation is required only for corps members who have registered online with previous batch, deployed in the previous batch, but did not go to camp. The effected corps members need to do "revalidation", so they can go to camp with the next batch.
Who Need Remobilization?Remobilization is different from revalidation. Remobilization is required only from corps members who have been mobilized in a previous NYSC batch, and have been dully registered in NYSC camp, but later decamped, expelled or own their own, absconded from service.
This however is a solution to those who missed camp or absconded from service.
If you missed NYSC service for one reason or the other, and wish to go to service again, you still have the opportunity but you don't need to start fresh registration again.
What you need is either, "Revalidation" or "Remobilization".
How to do/carry out NYSC Revalidation or Remobilisation
How to do the NYSC revalidation? First of all, visit the institution you graduated from, to make sure they submit your name on the revalidation list. Go to and click on "revalidation", you would be prompted to 'login'; just login to your dashboard using your e-mail and password.
Choose four states Submit your application and print out your registration slip.
NOTE: NYSC revalidation is usually done at the time when the next batch have started their online registration, so wait until then.
How to do NYSC Remobilization Steps for remobilization Go to https://portal.nysc.org.ng Click on "Remobilization" (for the batch you absconded or decamped) to start your registration When you are done, submit your registration.
You can contact us for further information, and questions at https://nyscmembers or email@example.com. Thanks
Something might be your right, but you must know how to ask for it. This article will expose you to how to format a letter to apply for your medical bill refund.
This is the conclusion of how to apply for medical leave. If you have not checked it, you can do so
After you have applied for leave of absence like we explained earlier check the link above, if you not read that, we also said applied on time since the letter approving day is the day your leave begins, and the day of expiration is also on the letter, remember it is a leave it is not forever.
You now have to apply for refund, if you are treated not by a military or government hospital, becos of the level of illness or history with the practitioner, etc
You must therefore obtain a receipt thereof as well as a medical report from a Military or Government Hospital. Even after all this Note that the approval of this letter is at the discretion of the National Directorate Headquarters before a refund can be considered likewise the rates as the Director-General considers fair and reasonable.
NYSC can also refund any payment made to a chemist for treatment rendered to a corp Member while on leave may only be refunded by the State Coordinator, in as much as there is no Government Hospital in the area, and at the rate the State Coordinator considers fair and reasonable
The sample of the letter is attached below, remember it is your duty to report, write and clear yourself. So write the letter on time, before the sickness get out of hand. Learn the format that you don't need that need than writing with no format of after the sickness have hooked you.
Create you first topic here , let us left something on the wall of corps lodge and rooms. Only together we are better informed

And for how to apply for after camp break letter Click here
Let us get right into today topic, by saying what is a medical leave, a medical leave is a leave which is considered and often granted for medical reasons.
What is even a leave to NYSC, a leave is a privilege granted at the discretion of the Director-General in accordance with the leave scales laid down by the National Directorate Headquarters from time to time.
There are few leaves that can apply to every Corp Member
Post camp rest leave, (that is if your PPA allows it)
Leave for your graduation/convocation
But there is another leave that is usually granted, that is a medical leave, infact if we'll communicated to the directoriate you in service to your fatherland can get refund of all your medical bills, meaning there is medical insurance for your service.
Let us talk about the letter, a sample will be added below, so that you can see how to go about applying for this leave when the need arise and before matter get worse and out of hand. Remember it is service not slavery.

This article will address to everyone Corpers how to write a reposting letter, which is also called change of PPA (Place of Primary Assignment). If you are yet to see or you are in need of apply for your 2 weeks leave. Read about the format
Let us start by mentioning what is a PPA?
PPA means Place of Primary Assignment. At the end of the orientation, Corps members are posted to their place of primary assignment. While the NYSC Management takes into consideration the areas of specialization of Corps members carrying out the posting exercise, emphasis is placed in rural posting in the areas of Agriculture, Health, Education and Infrastructure.
It is expected that Corps members should accept their posting and be agents of change contributing towards the development of their host communities.
Therefore come our main topic, the moment either by chance or circumstance even suitation you can't accept or your have accepted but you want to leave/exit this posting, this is what is called reposting.
Reposting just like many things in NYSC must be formalised, and can't be accepted or rejected not until you bring it forward with your reasons, always remember NYSC is an human scheme. And alot can happen within one year so don't manage what is not manageable.
Let us know go to how to write this letter

Life after NYSC is full of different scenarios, but the most common case is some proceed their education or enter the Labour Market. Those furthering their education will still mostly come back to the same over saturated markets that is even an understatement of the reality.
My little advice, after when allawee stop coming in
I see and met a lot of fresh graduates stay at home for 2-3 years saying they couldn't get a job and that they've tried all within their disposal but to no avail or even blame it on the Nigeria Government.
My questions are:
1. How have you been applying for that job and interviews?
2. What career path have you thought about and considered the best fit for you?
3. Have you been attending seminars that can give you some insights about the job market today?
4. Have you ever thought about going for a job/career fair lately?
5. How strong is your networking prowess?
Am sure if am to create a poll for these questions the result would be below average.
1. My advice is don't quiver in fear when being called for an interview (prepare before hand, always take a deep breath, your sitting position would give you balance when replying your recruiter)
2. Think about what you're good at that could be the best fit of a career path for you and work towards it. (Pls if your so called career path can't be commercialize just let it remain an hobby)
3. There are hundreds of thousands of online course out there that could help you on your career path and also to develop soft skills. Talk of Udemy.com, Alison.com., cousera.com just to mention a few
4. I know of a firm at Victoria Island, Lagos (POISE NIGERIA) they specializes in training employees (beginners and professionals across all sectors) as a beginner after you've completed a course with them, they will get you a Job (always certain)
5. For fresh graduates, you can choose to Volunteer in any organization just to gain valuable experience over time you'll become an hotcake irrespective of the career path you choose. For an internship role please register on this platform www.stutern.com
I wish you guys all the best in all your endeavors.
Good morning to everyone today we give you the tips to stay ahead of the game, in landing your dream job
1) Don't wait for a job offer to jump-start your career When jobs seem to be few and far between, it's easy to get discouraged and feel as though you have no control. A good piece of advice is that you don't have to have a job offer to get your career started. "Say you're a newly minted journalism grad (for example) — you've got to get out there and start building your journalism résumé now, even if you haven't been offered a job. Start a blog, get involved in industry organizations, volunteer your writing services — create your own opportunities. And this advice applies across industries," says Charles Purdy. Get motivated by researching the backgrounds of people you admire in your field. They had to start somewhere, too.
2) Don't make your cover letter and résumé all about you While the main purpose of your résumé is to highlight your personal experience, when employers view it, they're really thinking about themselves and the company. "It's important to remember the cover letter and résumé are about what you can do for the employer, not the other way around," says Josh Tolan. "Showcase the skills you have that are most relevant to your prospective employer, and keep the focus on the company's mission and goals. In your cover letter, mention something you admire about the company and how a specific skill you have could benefit that aspect.
3) Do develop networking skills In other words, talk to as many people in your field as possible, keep your professional online profiles up-to-date, and keep in contact with any former colleague or manager who could later serve as a reference. As Charles Purdy notes, you should "be smart about networking and your online profile — looking for a job isn't just about searching online and pressing that 'apply' button. After that, you've got to do some research and work your network to find an 'in' at the company." Whatever you do, don't burn bridges with any personal or professional contacts — you'll be exposed to more opportunities and potential success.
4) Do treat your job search as a full-time job itself Candace Williams puts it simply: "Hustle. Finding a job is a full-time job. If someone were to ask you, 'What did you do to find a job this week?' you should have a long answer that includes time sending résumés/cover letters, networking events, cold calls, informational interviews, research, and time crafting your portfolio/interview materials." It's not always easy, but your hard work will eventually pay off, and you'll definitely thank yourself later for putting in all those hours that led to your success.
5) Do your research Landing an interview during your grueling job search is an amazing feeling — but the work doesn't stop there. Well before your interview, you should start preparing as many notes as possible about the company and the interviewer you'll be meeting. "In order to be well prepared for an interview, make sure you know the ins and outs of your company first. Look at the company website, research their clients, and check out their social media presence — anything to ensure you're fully versed on the position and the company. That way, you can answer each question thoroughly, and more importantly, tie your answers into the goals of the company," says Josh Tolan.
All activities in NYSC Orientation Camp last only for 21 days; afterwards, corps members would be posted to Place of Primary Assignment (PPA). Below are the order of arrangements of things corps members need to do when their camping come to an end. This is if you are not relocated. but if you relocate this will still come to help
Step 1 Report to your PPA: You will be handed a posting letter the day camp will close by your platoon officer. The first thing to do immediately after leaving orientation camp is to report at your PPA. Don't worry, there will be free buses in camp to take you to the local government where your PPA is under. In the local government, old corps members will welcome you. You can sleep over in the corpers lodge located within the vicinity of the local government, then in the morning the following day, you will have to report to your PPA. What you will be taking to your PPA is the posting letter that was given to you on camp after the passing out parade (camp POP) on the last day of the camp. The essence of taking your letter to your PPA is to determine whether they will accept or reject you. The posting letter is a letter addressed to your employer, and a detachable form is underneath. Advise: make a photocopy of your posting letter before submitting. At your PPA, the person in charge of corps member will either accept or reject you. In the detachable form, the PPA will either write YES or NO and stamp it. For example, if your PPA is a school, the principal of the school will stamp the detachable part of the form and write YES/NO in the acceptance Column. If he write YES, that means you can continue your steps further, but if he rejects you, read on how to take a new posting letter when you are rejected
Step 2 Submit your letter of acceptance to your Zonal Office or Local Inspector office as the case maybe: once you are accepted in your Place of Primary Assignment (PPA), the form will be detached and you will be given the end part of the form and your PPA will keep the other part, you take the part given to you to the Zonal Office and submit. Depending on how far your PPA is to the Zonal Office, if it is very far, a local inspector will be attached to your area who will collect the form from you and record it in a register as you bring your slip.
Step 3 Open a Bank Account Immediately you bring your acceptance letter and you fill the register, the Local Inspector / the person attending to you at the Zonal Office assign you to a bank. Go to the bank immediately with 3 passport photograph and your NYSC ID Card lest I forget. For the next 1 year, you must always carry your ID card along anywhere you are going to. Your ID card will open doors for you (depending on how you utilize it)
Step 4 Go back to the Zonal office/LI’s office to fill in your bank details Do you know why I’ve been patiently listing all this into steps, its because so many corps members are eager to travel back home, so they will just open the bank account and travel home, and will now come back to complain they have not been paid. The reason is because they did not fill the account register before they travel. So once you are through with your account opening, you will be issued a bank account number, endeavor to take this account number back to the Zonal Office and fill in the account register book. In the account register book, you fill in your account number, bank and your signature. Your signature must be the same as the specimen you gave while on camp.
Step 5 Enjoy your 2 weeks leave (depending on you PPA) Once you have finished steps 1-4 and you are sure, you can now travel, go for a training, read book for the next two weeks depending on your PPA. If your PPA is a school, most times they are either already on holiday period or about to start. So enjoy the holiday with them. But if your PPA is a private firm, ministry and other parastatals, your leave will be dictated by them, so please adhere to it.
In summary, the steps to take are
Report to your Place of Primary Assignment (PPA)
Submit your letter of acceptance to your Zonal Office or Local Inspector office as the case maybe
Open a bank account
Fill in your bank account number in the account register at the Zonal Office/Local Inspector
Enjoy your 2 weeks leave (depending on you PPA).

DG WARNS CORPS MEMBERS AGAINST INDECENT DRESSING, WRONG USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA
Corps Members have been warned to dress properly as responsible role models that is worthy of emulation by the society.
NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim gave this warning today in his address to Corps Members at Kogi State Orientation Camp in Kabba. He said NYSC Scheme would not condone improper dressing with its uniforms adding that all Corps Members must adhere strictly to the approved dress code for all events.
The NYSC boss however added that strict disciplinary measures would be applied on any erring Corps Member.
Speaking further, lbrahim appealed to the Corps Members to use the social media for the promotion of national unity and refrain from spreading unverified information and 'hate speeches'.
He urged them to be patriotic and contribute their quota to the corporate existence of the country.
The NYSC Chief Executive tasked the Corps Members to maximize the opportunities of the service year to cultivate team spirit, integration and unity of purpose.
'NYSC has a lot of potentials and opportunities, take advantage of the Orientation Exercise and promote love and unity, though in tongue we differ but in brotherhood we are the same'.
'Wherever you are, keep your records clean and don't let your actions today affect you in future', he said.
Ibrahim admonished them to integrate themselves into their host community and embark on projects that would affect their lives positively.
'You must be security conscious wherever you are because your lives are precious to us and we don't want you to go back to your parents incapacitated'.
'Be agents of positive change, shun every form of criminality, cyber crimes, drug peddling, cultism and others', he added.
The DG urged them to accept their posting in good faith but warned against lobbying for posting and induced rejection saying there is purpose for everything in life.
The Director-General also appealed to the Corps Members that would be participating as ad-hoc electoral officers during the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state to abide by the electoral law.
In regression analysis, you'd like your regression model to have significant variables and to produce a high R-squared value. This low P value / high R2 combination indicates that changes in the predictors are related to changes in the response variable and that your model explains a lot of the response variability.
This combination seems to go together naturally. But what if your regression model has significant variables but explains little of the variability? It has low P values and a low R-squared.
At first glance, this combination doesn’t make sense. Are the significant predictors still meaningful?
It’s difficult to understand the situation of regression using numbers alone. Research shows that graphs are essential to correctly interpret regression analysis results. Comprehension is easier when you can see what is happening!
Further, if you enter the same value for Input into both equations, you’ll calculate nearly equivalent predicted values for Output. For instance, an Input of 10 yields a predicted Output of 66.2 for one model and 64.8 for the other model. The variability of the data around the two regression lines is drastically different. R2 and S (standard error of the regression) numerically describe this variability.
A low R-squared graph shows that even noisy, high-variability data can have a significant trend. The trend indicates that the predictor variable still provides information about the response even though data points fall further from the regression line.
To assess the precision, we’ll examine the prediction interval. A prediction interval is a range that is likely to contain the response value of a single new observation given specified settings of the predictors in your model. Narrower intervals indicate more precise predictions.
The model with the high variability data produces a prediction interval that extends from about -500 to 630, over 1100 units! Meanwhile, the low variability model has a prediction interval from -30 to 160, about 200 units. Clearly, the predictions are much more precise from the high R-squared model, even though the fitted values are nearly the same!
The difference in precision should make sense after seeing the variability present in the actual data. When the data points are spread out further, the predictions must reflect that added uncertainty.
The coefficients estimate the trends while R-squared represents the scatter around the regression line. The interpretations of the significant variables are the same for both high and low R-squared models. Low R-squared values are problematic when you need precise predictions. So, what’s to be done if you have significant predictors but a low R-squared value? I can hear some of you saying, "add more variables to the model!"
In some cases, it’s possible that additional predictors can increase the true explanatory power of the model. However, in other cases, the data contain an inherently higher amount of unexplainable variability. For example, many psychology studies have R-squared values are less that 50% because people are fairly unpredictable.
The good news is that even when R-squared is low, low P values still indicate a real relationship between the significant predictors and the response variable.
Anti-corruption Strategies for Balanced Development: A Case Study of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
This paper synthesizes the assessment of anti-corruption strategies adopted by previous administrations in Nigeria and the effectiveness of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Factors militating against the effectiveness of EFCC were identified, and solutions proffered. Corruption in education was also noted. The administration of some heads of state before the establishment of EFCC was discovered to fuel corruption, while some administrations proved to have adopted Gandhian approach to fighting corruption; they recorded success but were not sustained because their efforts were found to have been frustrated by their succeeding administrations. The results of the frustrations lead to the establishment of EFCC which is an institution to tackle corruption during democracy. Finally, it was revealed that the achievement of EFCC's mandates is low. Towards anti-corruption strategies and the effectiveness of EFCC, recommendations were suggested. It is believed that if the recommendations were fully implemented, balanced development is inevitable.

STRATEGY FOR AGRICULTURAL INTENSIFICATION IN NIGERIA: EMPHASIS ON AGRICULTURALAVIATION
Abstract This paper reveals strategy for agricultural intensification with emphasis on agricultural aviation. As the population densities of Nigeria have been high for a long period, land degradation, involution, and perhaps even stagnation have set in. It was backed up by the theories of Thomas Malthus, and Bose upon agricultural intensification and population growth. Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa with 188.7 million people (2017 estimate) which is known to have good soil that enhances agriculture. Furthermore, agricultural practice in Brazil was examined because they have similar characteristics with Nigeria in the area of soil fertility, and they are technologically developed most especially in agriculture with the practice of agricultural aviation. Nigeria still struggles with low agricultural productivity with old technological involvement. The beauty of this study is the suitability of sound policies that emanate towards achieving agricultural intensification. This is a major means to banish hunger and reduce poverty.
